Join her at The Kiln on the first Tuesday of every month, 10am–2pm for a relaxed drop-in session. Bring any people or HR question at all, contracts, hiring, tricky conversations, policies, or that niggle you’re not sure who to ask.
These sessions are designed for business owners and employers, and Nicola’s whole approach is warm, practical and completely non-judgemental. There’s no such thing as a silly question here so grab a brew, pull up a chair, and let’s get it sorted!

BodyDoubling Accountability Co-Working
Monthly on a Wednesday 9am – 4pm
That’s why Real World Consultancy (RWC), The Strategic Circle (TSC), and The Kiln are teaming up once a month.
This is a facilitated body doubling session designed for anyone who needs a little less isolation and a lot more accountability.

We aren’t just sitting in a room in silence. We’re structuring the day to maximise your brainpower without the burnout:
- The Intention: We’ll start by declaring exactly what we are working on. Public accountability is a great motivator.
- Structured Sprints: We’ll work in focused, uninterrupted blocks (the kind where you actually put your phone on ‘Do Not Disturb’)
- The Reality Check Breaks: In between sprints, you will be prompted to actually take a break, connect and get moving! A Note from Emma, Founder of RWC and TSC, and Facilitator for the day “When you’re working on your own or in a tiny team, it’s easy for the days to blur together and the hard tasks to get ignored. Sometimes, we just need a room full of other humans who are also trying to hold it all together to keep us honest. Bring your laptop, bring your ugliest to-do list item, and let’s clear the decks together, I will bring my timer!”

I used to have an unlimited hot desk membership but since I’m here three days a week, moving to a fixed-desk membership made more sense. I love having my own dedicated setup - everything stays just how I like it and means I can get straight into work.
Plus the separate fixed-desk office space has been a real boost for my productivity. It gives me the focus I need while still being part of the friendly, creative community that makes The Kiln such a great place to work.
