Here at The Kiln we are extremely passionate about making sure that we all make the best sustainable decisions for the planet!
Over the last few months we have introduced a range of new features to make it as easy as possible for anyone in Worcester, whether they use our space or not, to be able to reduce their amount of waste.
Terracycling Collection Point
Since December 2022, we have been signing up to even more of the range of Terracycle schemes that are available. A few of these schemes include coffee bean packaging, chocolate wrappers and cheese packaging. By offering these in our building, it makes reducing waste for our members as well as for people in Worcester easier as we are located in the centre of town.
Takeaway cup recycling
With so many of our visitors coming in with various single use coffee cups, we wanted to provide a way for these to avoid being sent to landfill. The local takeaway cup recycling points being in Costa shops, Cafe Nero shops and McDonalds. We provide a collection point for the cups in our building which we will then drop off at one of these locations frequently. We are also in the process of developing our own reusable coffee cups for anyone to use for their daily coffee fix! Watch this space!
Recycling bins in the building
We provide a clear system with our bins so that it is easy for everyone to dispose of their rubbish in the correct places. Recycling is such an important aspect for everyone to consider when trying to improve how sustainable they are personally.
