Just over a year.

What’s a piece of advice you live by when it comes to work?

Be honest and authentic – people need to see the real you!

What drew you to The Kiln and made you want to become a member?

We had just moved to the area, so looking to build our network (and friends) – and with me and my husband both being self-employed we needed space away from home (and each other)

How would people describe you best?

I think I’m known as the crafting lady.

What’s your favourite Kiln perk?

Treat Tuesdays, Biscuits – anything involving food.

What are you working on at the moment?

Right now I’m working on launching a Mindful Box to support wellbeing in the workplace. Covering Social, Financial, Mental and Physical Wellbeing, the Mindful Box aims to connect teams and support mental health in a creative way. Think Gousto, but for wellbeing.

I’m also working on improving our colouring subscription offering for businesses.

How would you describe The Kiln in 10 words?

Family-feeling, Social, Friendly, Laid back, Fun, Creative, Supportive.

What is the best thing about owning your own business?

Feeling so passionate about what I’m doing – and having the freedom to let creativity take me wherever I want.

What is your favourite thing about working at The Kiln?

The people! Working for yourself can be incredibly lonely, so going to the Kiln and chatting to other like minded people not only helps my business, but my mental health too.

Where is your favourite place to grab mid-work lunch?

Papa’s Café on New Street.

What gets you out of bed in the morning (or afternoon)?

My daughter – she doesn’t let me sleep.

What would you say to anyone unsure whether The Kiln is for them?

Do it! It really has been the best thing I’ve done for myself personally, and for my business.
