What is your name and what is your role?

My name is Rob Draper and I am an artist, designer. My role of the Kiln was interior designer.

How would people describe you best?

I’m not sure but happy for you to ask other people, just make sure you ask someone who likes me šŸ˜‰
I hope they would say creative, professional and committed among other things.

What was your favourite thing about being involved in The Kiln?

The contact with the team, from the core of F8 Creates to the building contractors and the people in between, constantly trying new creative ideas to achieve the best possible outcome for the project.

Do you have any tips for your 18 year old self?

Thousands. But mainly to keep chipping away and not worry too much. Keep the big picture in mind and obviously money will always be a factor but lose yourself in personal projects wherever possible, they are where the true personal development lies. Do things that make you feel fulfilled rather than relentlessly chasing wealth and status. Be cool to people and hope you get it back.

How would you describe The Kiln in 10 words?

Hard. Work. Thats. Finally. Over. But. We. Got .There. Phew.

Where is your favourite place to grab mid-work lunch?

Anywhere that lets my dog in too.

What is your go-to drink whilst you’re working?

Coffee. You mean there are other drinks?

What would you say to anyone who is unsure whether The Kiln is for them?

Try it. Give it a go, drop by and see Alex and get her to give you the lowdown. The staff are great and there are varied workspaces so you can be as social or quiet as you want. Find like minded people, share skills and enjoy the free coffee and fast wifi.
